Photographer Portraits
Spent the afternoon with some photography friends at the Hay Creek Watershed and instead of focusing on nature photos I decided to turn the camera on the photographers and do some nice portraits. The slide show below shows the portraits taken and a few extra photos too.

Great people. That is the impression I was left with after photographing the wonderful wedding and reception of Dave and Blair Walsh. Dave is the owner of the Brickhouse Restaurant in Pottstown and the reception was held there following the service at St Columbkill Church in Boyertown.
More Accolades
I recently learned that the Pennsylvania Newspaper Association awarded me a first place in Division IV of their annual Keystone Press Awards in the Photo Story category. I also won a second place for Photo Story from the Associated Press Managing Editors. The awards were for photos of a devastating fire that destroyed a home on High Street and the rescues of residents by firefighters while I was a staff photographer at The Mercury in Pottstown. The paper laid me off in December of 2008. Interestingly enough I won the majority of photo awards for the paper last year and I didn’t even know I was being entered in the contests!
